2017 will be another exiting year for the Maple Ridge Caribbean Festival.

Due to its overwhelming popularity and continued growth, the festival has outgrown its current location in downtown Maple Ridge and has relocated.

The 17^th annual Maple Ridge Caribbean Festival will take place August 5-6, 2017 at the Maple Ridge Fairgrounds.

This year’s concert lineup promises to be another stellar event of the lower mainland’s music festival circuit,certainly a festival high-lite for Maple Ridge. By popular demand we are excited to announce the return of the highly acclaimed group “HOTEL CALIFORNIA” the original tribute to the EAGLES. The 2 hour concert on Saturday evening will again attract several thousand festival goers to the Fairgrounds. 12 year old singing sensation Laura Webb from Maple Ridge will be opening for HOTEL CALIFORNIA.

There is no shortage of Reggae – Ska – Soca and Cuban Salsa performances by well known artists Los Furios ,Rumba Calsa Mostly Marley just to name a few. On Sunday the festival will feature performances by the VOC Sweet Soul Gospel Choir,King Fish Limbo, Phase 3 Steelband, a colourful Brazilian Samba Show by Samba Fusion before the evening finale by our crowd favourite “Mr Soca” Carl’s Soundvibes.

In all the festival will feature 2 large stages with continuous music provided by 16 live bands from Toronto and the Lower Mainland’s Caribbean community, featuring Reggae, Calypso, Salsa and Soca music and much more

Our dedicated group of volunteers are working hard to make the Maple Ridge Caribbean Festival a favourite tourist attraction for the BC DAY long weekend for visitors and locals alike.We appreciate your support.

Over 100 entertainers will showcase the music and culture of their islands.

In addition to the music, make sure you enhance the experience by visiting:

• Our wide variety of food vendors, offering authentic Caribbean foods from Jerk chicken to curried goat.
• 40-50 street vendors displaying their goods at the Caribbean open air market.
• A large kid zone with rides, face painting and a number of other activities planned for our small festival goers.

This great family event is free and has attracted up to 18000 festival patrons last year and has become one of the favorite summer festivals in the lower mainland.
